When the Tall Ships came to Fair Isle (2011):

As part of this community engagement programme, HODA ran music and animation sessions as part of a series of workshops with children from the local primary school in Fair Isle.

The children learned about the hospitality the Island offered the tall ship crews, the shelter they took together during a massive storm and the subsequent celebrations – not to mention the hat bartering…

The result of this project is an animated film about the story told through stop frame and cartoon animations using the children’s drawings, combined with the music recorded during the sessions.
